With a heavy heart, we share the news that Donna Zachariasiewicz went home to God on Monday, Feb. 3. "Mrs. Z," as she was known by her students, was our in-house poet laureate, a dedicated Science Fair judge, the magic behind our "Angel of the Month" reflections, and a friend to all.

There will be a viewing 5-8 p.m. Friday at Pumphrey’s Funeral Home at 7557 Wisconsin Ave. in Bethesda. Her obituary says, "Donna insisted she did not want a funeral but a party. There will be a celebration of her life the beginning of March."

We are touched that Donna's family has asked that, in lieu of flowers, donations be made to SRS. If you are so inclined, here is the link to donate.
