Christmas calendar with entries for 12 days of celebration

The 12 Days of a St. Raphael Christmas!

While no one was watching, some of Santa's helpers got to work in creating the 12 Days of a St. Raphael Christmas—a series of 12 different days/events throughout December that celebrate all that is St. Raphael and all that is Christmas! We'll be decorating cookies, saying hi to Santa, and enjoying the season as a St. Raphael family—with the parish and Raphael House included. Review the schedule of events and mark your calendars for whichever ones will add a little extra Christ to your Christmas.

Walking in a Webex Wonderland

christmas-webex-background-crafts-web.jpgVirtual backgrounds are fun, but let's see what our crafty kids can do when asked to create a real holiday backdrop for their online classes! Plan ahead and bring some holiday cheer to your Webex meetings on Thursday, Dec. 3. After we return to school, we'll also be bringing the fun there with ornaments that you can decorate and hang outside.

Christmas Around the World

christmas world.jpgStudents will have the opportunity to learn how Christmas is celebrated in nations around the world and to participate in an activity about different traditions. This is a great time for families to teach students about their own family and cultural Christmas traditions.

On Friday, Dec. 4, download your Christmas Around the World worksheet and follow the instructions. On Monday, Dec. 7, students will discuss in class what they've learned about Christmas customs practiced in other nations and will share their families' own traditions!

A Day of Service to Raphael House

Gr-5-Raphael-House-01.jpgMother Teresa said: "It is Christmas every time you let God love others through you...yes, it is Christmas every time you smile at your brother and offer him your hand.” On Sunday, Dec. 6, we will bring Christmas to Raphael House in three special ways:

  • Provide holiday gifts for the residents
  • Donate bingo prizes for the seniors
