Scantron Performance Series
The Scantron Performance Series is an adaptive, computer-based diagnostic tool administered to students in Grades 2 through 8 three times a year—September, January, and May. Scantron testing provides instant data in math and reading and is integral in helping us facilitate our highly acclaimed customized education by allowing our teachers to place students in proper instructional groups.
The National Blue Ribbon Schools Program recognizes public and private elementary, middle, and high schools based on their overall academic excellence. St. Raphael School will be eligible for the honor, organized by the U.S. Department of Education, after it has graduated five classes. As illustrated in this graphic, SRS has consistently surpassed Blue Ribbon score requirements and is well on its way toward the national recognition.
Faith Knowledge Assessment
The Faith Knowledge Assessment is a Catholic standards-based assessment developed by the Archdiocese of Washington and administered annually in the spring. The test is administered online through Scantron’s Achievement Series to students in Grades 3 through 8. The assessment ensures mastery and that the Catholic faith is taught in a complete, systematic, and consistent way.
