School Closure

During inclement weather, St. Raphael School and Nursery School (including Stay & Play) will close when Montgomery County Public Schools are closed.

 

Delayed Opening

In the case of a delayed opening, St. Raphael School classes will begin at 10 am and Nursery School classes will begin at 10:15 am Stay & Play will be canceled. Please see below for more details for drop-off for both SRS and SRNS students. The schedule is subject to change and notification will be sent to parents as a result of any change.

• SRS: There is no Morning Prayer. Students can be dropped off at the front doors of the school as early as 9 am and will then be directed to either the Trumpet Room or their classroom. Classes will begin at 10 am
• SRNS: Before Care will start at 9 am for registered Before Care students. Classes will begin at 10:15 am Parents are asked to park and escort their child to the school whether attending Before care or going to their classroom for the 10:15 am start.
• Stay & Play: Classes are canceled.

 Note: If there is a delayed opening when SRS has a scheduled half day, we will still open at 10:00 am unless you are notified by us.

 

Early Dismissal

• SRS: Will close at 1 pm, and After Care, after-school activities and CYO basketball will be canceled.
• SRNS: Will close at 12:45 pm for students attending Lunch Bunch and 11:45 am for students not attending Lunch Bunch. Afternoon classes and After Care will be canceled.
• Stay & Play: Will finish as usual at 10:30 am

 

What if MCPS is Not in Session?

In the event that Montgomery County Public Schools are not in session on a day when SRS and SRNS are in session, adhere to Archdiocese of Washington announcements for school closings, early dismissals, or delays.
