We Are One!
Christ is the reason for this school.
He is the unseen but ever present teacher.

He is the model of our faculty

and the inspiration of our students.

Community Outreach

St. Raphael School affords students numerous opportunities to act more in the image of Christ by participating in a variety of service projects. Our students have performed such acts of kindness as feeding the hungry, comforting the lonely, and giving to those less fortunate. Here is a sampling of some of the school-wide community outreach in which our students have participated:

  • Donating food and supplies from Stepping Stones Shelter's urgent-needs list
  • Preparing baskets of complete Thanksgiving dinners for the families of every SRS maintenance staff member
  • Visiting residents at Raphael House senior home
  • Preparing sandwiches for McKenna’s Wagon mobile soup kitchen
  • Making Christmas wishes come true for families in need, including often-overlooked teens in the foster care system, by providing gifts customized for the recipients

Themes of Inspiration

Each academic year, we choose a theme that embodies our Christian values, and we encourage our students, faculty, and staff to incorporate the message throughout their day. Our themes have inspired our families to be present and aware, have celebrated our wonderful community, and have challenged our students to make a difference, big or small. Above all, our themes encourage our students and staff to shine their light by spreading kindness and love both inside and outside the St. Raphael community.

  • Sandwich Guidelines

    Feeding the Hungry

For Community Outreach Day, the Catholic Schools Week Committee is asking our SRS and SRNS students to make 1-2 sandwiches at home and bring them to school the next morning for a local shelter that helps feed the hungry. Below are the guidelines. If you can, snap a photo (landscape preferred) of your children at work, and send your high-resolution jpegs to Marketing and Communications. The photos are for our social media and yearbook.

    Guidelines for sandwiches:

    •  Use whole-wheat bread

    •  Add two pieces of lean meat (turkey, ham, or roast beef)

    •  Add two pieces of cheese

    •  Do not add condiments or toppings

    •  Wrap sandwiches individually

    •  Label contents (TC, HC, or RBC)
